What makes a Lorcana card valuable?

Disney Lorcana has become one of the best-known trading card games since the launch of The First Chapter in August 2023. But not every card is worth a fortune – quite the opposite, the vast majority are worth pennies. What lifts a handful of cards into the three- and four-figure range is an interplay of several factors. If you want to understand the most valuable Disney Lorcana cards, you should know these four drivers.

Rarity

The most important lever is rarity. Lorcana now has eight rarity tiers, and the top three – Enchanted, Epic and Iconic – account for the lion's share of expensive cards. Iconic is the rarest pullable tier of all: only two Iconic cards appear per set. The fewer copies in circulation, the more sharply the price rises with matching demand.

Popularity of the character

Not every rare card is equally expensive. The depicted character matters too. Flagship figures such as Mickey Mouse, Elsa or Ariel regularly command a premium, because they appeal to Disney fans and collectors beyond the player base. An Iconic card of an iconic character therefore combines two sources of demand – players and collectors – and that shows up in the price.

Set age and scarcity

The age of a set cuts both ways: very young sets contain the newest and rarest cards, often with thin data and high prices. Older sets like The First Chapter benefit from the historical scarcity of the first print run – this launch set in particular was barely available for months after release. Once a card is no longer reprinted, supply stays limited while demand continues.

Condition and grading

Finally, condition counts. A card in Near Mint is worth considerably more than one with creases or worn edges. For the most expensive cards, grading comes on top: a professionally graded card in top condition (say PSA 10) fetches a multiple of the raw version. Throughout this list we refer to raw, ungraded cards in good condition.

💡 Good to know: The Cardmarket trend price captures all these factors in a realistic market value. It is based on a weighted average of recently sold items and filters out outliers – which is why we use it as our reference throughout.

Enchanted, Epic & Iconic explained briefly

The three top rarity tiers are the heart of any value discussion in Lorcana. Here is a compact overview – you'll find a detailed explanation in our guide Lorcana Enchanted Cards.

Enchanted – the classic chase tier

Enchanted cards are full-art, borderless alternate versions of existing cards (usually Legendary or Super Rare) with a striking Rainbow-Foil finish. They have existed since Set 2, Rise of the Floodborn, and were the most coveted pullable tier for years. To this day many Enchanteds command high prices – above all the early ones from The First Chapter.

Epic – the new middle tier

Epic was introduced together with Iconic in the Fabled set (August 2025). Epic cards have frameless artwork, likewise a Rainbow-Foil finish and tinted card text. They are rarer than Legendary but more common than Enchanted – a tier that fills the gap between regular cards and the absolute grails.

Iconic – the new top

Iconic is the real innovation that has reshaped the market. Introduced with Fabled, Iconic is the rarest pullable tier of all: only two Iconic cards appear per set. They feature full-card artwork with a special "lore star" foil pattern and 3D hot stamping. It is exactly this extreme scarcity that has led Iconic to overtake Enchanted as the top pullable tier – the most expensive booster-pullable cards of 2026 are almost all Iconics.

💡 Note: Pull rates for Enchanted, Epic and Iconic are not officially published by Ravensburger. Community estimates place Iconic – at roughly one card per several hundred up to over a thousand packs – as by far the rarest pullable tier. Treat such numbers as rough guidance only.

The most valuable Disney Lorcana cards in 2026 – the list

Here is the overview of the most expensive booster-pullable Lorcana single cards as of July 2026 – from the new Iconic frontrunners of the latest sets to the classic Enchanted of the first chapter. Notably, the top ranks are dominated by the Iconics introduced in 2025/2026. It's also important that prices depend heavily on the card language – English-printed cards trade markedly higher on Cardmarket than German-printed ones, which is why we show both values separately.

Card Set Rarity Price (German print) Price (English print) Why it's coveted
Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Prince Fabled Iconic ca. 4.000 € ca. 5.500 € flagship character Mickey; one of the first Iconics ever
Minnie Mouse – Sweetheart Princess Fabled Iconic ca. 4.500 € ca. 4.800 € classic Disney icon; early Iconic with strong collector demand
Buzz Lightyear – Jungle Ranger Wilds Unknown Iconic ab 1.300 € ab 4.000 € Pixar crossover from the newest set; the #1 card in the US market, rose extremely fast
Ariel – Ethereal Voice Whispers in the Well Iconic ca. 1.500 € ca. 1.800 € very popular princess; among the more stable-priced Iconics
Merida – Formidable Archer Wilds Unknown Iconic ca. 950 € ca. 1.600 € popular Brave heroine; rare Iconic from the Pixar set
Moana – Curious Explorer Winterspell Iconic ca. 900 € ca. 1.500 € sought-after heroine; Iconic with persistently high demand
Elsa – Spirit of Winter The First Chapter Enchanted ca. 600 € ca. 900 € the original grail; the most coveted Enchanted of the launch set

Important note on prices: All values are Cardmarket snapshots (trend price, or the "from"/lowest price where marked accordingly) as of July 2026 and fluctuate constantly – the young Iconic cards in particular have moved significantly within a few weeks in some cases. For Buzz Lightyear the figure shown is a "from" price, because individual listings here are especially far apart. Elsa – Spirit of Winter & the First Chapter Enchanteds

Even though the Iconics now form the top, the Enchanteds from The First Chapter remain the emotional grails of the scene. The reason lies in the history of the launch set: when Lorcana debuted in August 2023, Ravensburger massively underestimated demand. For months, restocks were almost impossible to find at retail, and the rarest cards of the first print run became collector's items before the game was even widely available.

The queen among them is Elsa – Spirit of Winter. She is considered the original Lorcana grail: the most coveted Enchanted of the first set, which many collectors still regard as the centerpiece of their collection. In graded top condition she fetches a multiple of the raw version. Right behind her follow more First Chapter Enchanteds:

From Set 2 (Rise of the Floodborn) and Set 3 (Into the Inklands), Ursula – Deceiver of All, Sisu – Empowered Sibling and Beast – Hardheaded have made it into the upper ranks. They show that later Enchanteds can climb too, when the character and set line up. If you want to move deliberately into this category, you'll find more on it in our guide Lorcana Investment.

📊 Context: The launch set The First Chapter went through a classic scarcity story: an extreme initial shortage, a fast-tracked reprint just before Christmas 2023 and a subsequent normalization of prices. This history explains why First Chapter cards still carry a premium today. More on this in our guide Lorcana Investment.

Event & challenge promos: the absolute top (not pullable)

If you're wondering which Lorcana cards cost the most of all, the answer is: the event and challenge promos. They sit far above everything in our top list in price – but with one decisive difference: they are not pullable from boosters.

These cards are handed out exclusively at tournaments, in organized play or at special events as prizes. Their extreme scarcity therefore doesn't come from the pull rate in a booster, but from the fact that only a handful of players ever received them. Examples of such non-pullable top values:

We deliberately keep these cards separate from the top list because they are a different category. For the vast majority of collectors they are out of reach – whoever owns one usually didn't find it in a pack, but won it at an event or bought it at a steep price. All the amounts mentioned are rough snapshots and fluctuate heavily.

💡 Perspective: For a realistic collecting strategy, the pullable Iconics and Enchanteds are more relevant – you can hunt them deliberately, buy them and track their value. Event promos are more curiosities of the price list than an attainable collecting goal.

Tracking Lorcana prices properly

A list like this is always just a snapshot. The Lorcana market moves fast – new sets appear roughly every three months, young Iconics fluctuate heavily, and older Enchanteds gradually find their stable price. Anyone who owns valuable cards or wants to collect them therefore needs not a static table but continuously current prices.

The right reference value here, too, is the Cardmarket trend price. It weights actual sales and filters out outliers – so if someone accidentally lists a €30 card for €500, that doesn't distort the trend price. Especially with the thinly traded Iconics, where individual listings can be far apart, this robustness is worth its weight in gold.

Looking up every single card manually on Cardmarket is simply impractical with a growing collection. Cardmarket shows you no total value of your collection and no value development over time. That is exactly what a price tracker handles: you add your cards once via their Cardmarket link – variant, language and condition are captured automatically, and you add the grading status for graded cards – and then see the current value at any time.

Frequently asked questions about the most valuable Lorcana cards

Which Disney Lorcana cards are the most valuable in 2026?

The top of the market is formed by the Iconic cards from Fabled and Wilds Unknown. On Cardmarket, English-printed copies of Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Prince (around €5,500) and Minnie Mouse – Sweetheart Princess reach the highest trend prices, closely followed by Buzz Lightyear – Jungle Ranger, which even tops the list in the US market. German-printed copies are usually noticeably cheaper. All prices are snapshots and fluctuate constantly.

What makes a Lorcana card valuable?

Four factors drive value: rarity (Iconic and Enchanted sit at the very top), the popularity of the character (flagship figures like Mickey or Elsa command a premium), the age and scarcity of the set, and the condition plus any grading status. The Cardmarket trend price captures these factors in a realistic market value.

What is the difference between Enchanted and Iconic in Lorcana?

Enchanted are full-art Rainbow-Foil alternate versions of existing cards and were long the top chase tier. Iconic was newly introduced with the Fabled set (August 2025), appears only twice per set and is therefore the rarest pullable tier – it still sits above Enchanted today.

Which First Chapter cards are the most valuable?

From the launch set The First Chapter, the Enchanted versions are the most sought after – above all Elsa – Spirit of Winter, the classic grail. Also highly valued are Mickey Mouse – Wayward Sorcerer, Tinker Bell – Giant Fairy and Mickey Mouse – Brave Little Tailor. The early scarcity of the first set still supports these prices today.

Are event and challenge promos included in the list?

No. Event and challenge promos such as Baymax – Armored Companion (about USD 10,000) are the absolute top values, but they are not pullable from boosters. They are only handed out at tournaments or events and are therefore flagged separately – the top list contains only pullable single cards.

How current are the prices in this list?

The values are Cardmarket trend-price snapshots as of July 2026. The young Iconic cards in particular fluctuate heavily – individual cards have moved significantly within a few weeks. You can see the daily prices live in the tool, where they are retrieved automatically from Cardmarket every day.

How can I track the value of my Lorcana cards myself?
